What Your Customer Sees When You Send a Consent Request

Let’s take a look at what your customer experiences after you send a consent request.

We’ll start with the customer, Reagan McNeil. She receives an email from noreply@consentondemand.com with the subject line “Consent Request from [Your Name].”

In the body of the email, it lets her know she’s received a consent request from you. Your name appears in the message, along with a secure link to review and sign the consent. Your email address and phone number are also included in case she needs to contact you.

If the consent is sent by text message instead of email, the message content looks the same. The only difference is how it’s delivered.

When Reagan clicks the link, it opens the Consent On Demand signing window. Here, she can scroll through and review the full text of the consent. If you’ve included any attachments—such as photos or PDF documents—she’ll be able to view them directly on this page.

She’ll also see the sender information, including your name and email address, along with her own details.

To sign, Reagan checks the boxes confirming that the information is true and correct and that she agrees to use an electronic signature. She then enters her ZIP code and selects her city and state for legal verification.

Next, she types her name exactly as it appears on the screen. Once everything is complete, the Submit button becomes active.

If something isn’t right, she can choose to reject the consent request and include a reason. You’ll be notified immediately and will see the reason for the rejection.

In this case, Reagan submits the consent. She’s then shown a confirmation screen and can download a PDF copy of the signed consent for her records.

You’re notified right away as well, and if needed, you can download the PDF or resend it to her at any time.

And that’s exactly what a customer sees when signing a consent request using Consent On Demand.
